Rudy Massimo

Shawnigan Lake School
Director of External Relations and Advancement
Originally from New York and Montreal, Rudy arrived at Shawnigan Lake School in 2012, bringing with him considerable expertise in the fields of external relations, fundraising and leadership development. At Shawnigan, he leads the External Relations and Advancement team, focusing on strategic planning and relationship building within the school community. Rudy previously held senior leadership roles at Lakefield College School and Bayview Glen in Ontario. Before joining the advancement profession, he was the former CEO of Outward Bound Canada, and President of Peak Adventures. In addition to his day job, Rudy is an in-demand public speaker, community leader, and consultant. He has worked with many not for profit organizations and schools around the world. Rudy received his BA from Concordia University and his MA in Leadership from the University of Guelph. When he is not on the Shawnigan campus, you are likely to find him running on the local trails, cycling around the Vancouver Island or at home making his famous pizza.
