Roundtable Discussion 1 : Fundraising in China: What Stays the Same, What Has Dramatically Changed

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Laura Edwards has been fundraising overseas for close to 20 years. In that time, she has created remarkable connections and built up a wealth of knowledge around fundraising in China. The session will focus on the following discussion points:

  • To help participants understand why China matters and help recognize milestones and “reportable” moments
  • To give an overview of basic strategies, as well as do's and don'ts when building relationships with, and stewarding Chinese donors, both locally and globally
  • Cultural traditions and norms are critically important, they must be understood and respected
  • Economics and rules are changing. We as school leaders, fundraisers, and community builders must be cognizant of these changes
