45 minute session

In the complexity of today’s world the need for an all girls’ education seems to be more relevant today more than ever. For many years, girls have been told they “can do anything” but this has transitioned to them thinking that they have to do everything. We recognize the need to not only help develop strong and courageous girls and women, but also healthy, balanced individuals. As the only independent school for girls on Vancouver Island, we are seeking to make connections across the country and to develop an opportunity to share as a community of educators of girls.

Some of the questions we will explore include:
What do we do to support girls’ academic and social and emotional learning?
What are the current issues we all face?
How are we developing the leaders of tomorrow while keeping our girls healthy today?
How can we connect and support each other as educators who specialize in single-sex education for girls? How do we best support educators in building their skills to teach in an all-girls’ learning environment?

Join us in the creation of a Canadian All-Girls’ School Consortium. By working together as women and educators of girls, we can learn from each other’s strengths and experiences - leading from the heads and the hearts.
