Policies are the pillars of expectations for any institution. Policies related to respect, incivility, human rights, harassment and sexual harassment create a specific statement about the workplace environment. Sadly, often such policies are under-utilized and not linked to mission/vision/values and not leveraged as proactive tools to foster the sought after “culture of respect”. Even worse, they are (unknowingly) not legally compliant or have gaps that create risk. This workshop will provide an opportunity for each attendee to examine and reflect on their respective human rights/harassment policy/procedure to
ensure it best serves their institution.

This is a “working” workshop. Attendees are requested to bring a copy of their Policy
Manual, including Human Rights/Harassment Policy and Procedure.
