Roundtable Discussion 1: Faculty Mentorship: Pursuing Possibilities for Mentorship in CAIS Schools

In this session, current research on the value and design of mentorship programs in schools will be presented; one possible version of a mentorship program will be shared. Participants will be given the opportunity to actively explore the idea of designing a mentorship program for their own school settings, assessing their schools' needs and wants, while working through some of the protocols utilized in the training of mentors and new faculty alike at STS. Participants will dwell in the realm of possibility around program design, as well as the challenges and benefits of such programs. Participants will also engage in a discussion around the usefulness and possibilities of continued sharing of ideas around mentorship as part of a larger CAIS community.
