"Based on 1990's research that underpinned what has been called the most successful character education program ever implemented", and enriched by the findings of social-emotional learning and other fields over the past 20 years, our catalytic conversation will move toward two ends:
  1. A general look at five practices that bring out the best in both adults and students, with examples of how these relate to everyday life in schools and evidence of the kind of success they have shown; and
  2. a more specific, individual discussion regarding 'my school' and—considering the age of our students and the make up of our faculty—the extent to which these practices can be woven into what we already do well.
